With trekking season almost over, preparing for the biking season!

hi guys,
after a large gap of almost 25 years i started one day trekking in the year 2009. did 19 treks with a few repeats and decided to continue this year too. it was slightly tiresome to begin with, but then later i started waiting for the treks every week. most of the times with only 2-3 mates and a very few times more than 7-8 guys, trekking was fun. the most memorable trek was the first one in the season Kenjalgad. not difficult but risky. then after a few treks we got used to the paths and heights. the worst was Kamalgad. we could not find the way to the summit and it was a terrible walk through cow dung slurry and slippery paths. it was not an adventure at all. almost on every trek except Pandawgad we had surplus food and everybody hogged like hogs. it was all digested with the climb and walk and very healthy.

old meter gauge line:Pune-Miraj

The other weekend i had been to a place called ramdara near pune. it was a great biking trip as i had been to bhuleshwar just beyond loni on solapur highway. on our way back we saw a small arch like structure, and went over to the arch. it turned out to be a small bridge on the old abandonrd mg line.
then we walked a few meters to trace the track and we found a fully intact s shaped tunnel. we were so excited that we walked inside the dark tunnel, stomping our feet for snakes. it was a nice surprise for us. one can find the spot near phursungi on wikimapia.
